We have a new mission and opportunity from Bishop John Dolan to evangelize and strengthen the bond of our community. Please watch the video below and read about Christ in Our Neighborhood.
Mission and Purpose
The mission and purpose of Christ in Our Neighborhood is to lead people into a more intimate relationship with Christ through the power of God’s Word and Christian fellowship within our neighborhood as members of one faith family of St. Anne Parish, Gilbert. Like the early Christian Community united in faith and prayer in communion with Christ the leader and perfecter of our faith, CION is to bring together members of our parish within the same neighborhood to build the body of Christ that is united in one faith and prayer as we journey together along the path of salvation.
Guiding Philosophy
The guiding philosophy of CION is based on human dignity. Each human person is created in the image and likeness of God. The baptized are adopted children of God who have been anointed priest, prophet and king. Each person’s faith journey is precious and is to be treated with respect. We listen to God’s voice through the Holy Scripture and sharing our thoughts and impression. Through our contemplation of the Holy Scripture and discussion, we seek to uphold the inherent dignity of each person, to learn to see the good in others and grow in our love for God and one another.
Beside the Parish Office’s entrance there is a table manned by volunteers. Interested members are encouraged to kindly sign-up after the Mass.
Come let us journey together as on family of St. Anne Parish within our neighborhood.
Signed
Fr. Bitrus Maigamo
Parochial Vicar.
