Matthew 22:4
“Everything is ready; come to the feast.”
In the Sunday Oct 11 Gospel, Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a wedding feast. The invitation goes out, but many are too distracted or preoccupied to respond.
God invites us into communion with Him every day. His invitation is generous, but it asks for a response. We can become so occupied with ordinary responsibilities that we fail to recognize the grace He is offering us. Today and every day, Jesus invites us again and again: Come to the feast.
🙏 Lord, open our hearts to Your invitation. Help us put aside whatever distracts us and respond to You with faith and joy.
