Where did we get the idea that we are all self-creating individuals that determine our own identity, values, and purpose? Where did we get the idea the highest good in life is to be our “authentic selves”? Where did we get the popular phrase, “existential crisis”? And who famously said, “Hell is other people”? The Existentialists.

This week Holy Family Institute’s (HFI) Weekly Wednesday Formation Series (WWFS) continues its series on the deadly “isms” that twist and shape our culture by diving into existentialism and the myth of self-creation, and its profound - but often hidden - impact on our culture.

We meet from 6:15-7:30p, in the church, and, as always, the WWFS is free and open to everyone, so bring your friends, family, atheist college professors, and everyone who works at Starbucks or Dutch Brothers.

See you there!

Peace+,
Steve

p.s. If the Starbucks and Dutch Brothers staff cannot fit everyone in their Toyota Priuses, tell them they can watch the livestream on the St. Anne website, or catch the video recording later at www.holyfamilyinstitute.com.
