In his message for the 2026 World Youth Day, Pope Leo XIV encourages young people, and all Christians, to bring their questions, struggles, and hopes to Christ. He reminds us that Christ invites us to share not only our personal challenges but also the wounds of our communities, nations, and the world.
Reflecting on the theme, “Take courage! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33), the Holy Father acknowledges the fears and uncertainties many people experience today, including anxiety about the future, loneliness, and the pressures of modern life. He assures us that true courage does not come from our own strength but from our trust in Jesus, who walks with us through life's storms and never abandons us.
Pope Leo calls us to open our hearts, families, and communities to Christ. He emphasizes that Christian victory is not about power, success, or appearing perfect, but about loving generously, embracing humility, accepting help when needed, and allowing God's grace to transform our lives.
The Holy Father also urges us to bring Christ’s peace into a world marked by division, injustice, and fear. By responding with love instead of harshness, peace instead of conflict, and hope instead of cynicism, we become witnesses to Christ’s healing presence.
Closing his message, Pope Leo reminds us that faith does not remove every challenge, but it assures us that we are never alone. Christ comes to heal wounds, reconcile hearts, and fill us with a courage that the world cannot give.
May we open the doors of our hearts to Christ and allow His love, peace, and courage to guide us each day.
Vivat Jesus!
Fraternally,
